Hanny Huang, a Soprano lyrico, born 1977 in Jakarta. She studied with Renata Lim in Jakarta and Zhang Ju Chiun in Hong Kong when she was a little. And began her studies in Bel Canto style voice at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing. The People’s Republic of China, in 1995. There she studied under Professors Guo Shuzhen and Li Xinchang and in 1997 she took Master class with well- known opera singer Madame Viorica Cortez in Paris, France. In 2000 she played the role of “Suzanne” in Mozart’s opera “Le Nozze de Figaro” under the direction of England Welsh National Opera at the Central Conservatory in Beijing. Miss Huang completed her Bachelor degree in 2000.
In 2001 Miss Huang began work on a Master degree in Bel Canto style voice at L’ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. Studying under Professor Isabel Garcisanz, she earned a Master degree in 2004. Upon graduation Miss Huang was awarded a two- year scholarship to continue her studies at the L’ecole Normale de Musique. She took Master classes with Madame Denise Dupleix and Monsieur Jean Philippe Lafont in 2005-2006. She has obtained her highest Music Performance Diplome.
Miss Huang has participated in several international competitions. In 2003 she was the winner of the second price at the UPMCF international voice competition in Paris. She was also a semi-finalist at the 2004 Bilbao international voice competition in Spain, at the 2001 Guang Zhou international voice competition in China, and at the 2000 Asia voice competition in Singapore.
Miss Huang is also an accomplished performer, making her solo debut in 2001 at the Youth Society Auditorium in Singapore. She has also performed at Hong Kong City Hall in 2004. And several times in Jakarta. In 2004 at Yamaha Concert Hall with Mr. Li Jian Lin from China. In 2005 at Restaurant Sand’s for “ Ba Zhong Reunion”, and also at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, and Sahid Jaya Hotel, etc…
She is currently holding private vocal lesson for students in Jakarta and performing in Asia.

Asian Youth Choir is an international music event that takes form as a youth choir and gathers young musicians from all over Asia, including Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia. This year, AYC2007 is honored to be conducted by Prof. Chifuru Matsubara from Japan. This event was started in 1998 in Japan under the support of Niigata Prefecture and this year is the first time for AYC to hold the same international music session outside Japan, and Indonesia was chosen as host and it’s organized by Cantabile Music School together with Unpar Choir
AYC is initially formed as a music camp and holds several concerts. This year, the music camp will be held on 23rd – 26th July 2007 in Bandung and concerts will be held in Bandung and Jakarta.

Capela Amadeus is a string chamber orchestra established in 1993. Lead under Grace Sudargo – a fine Indonesian violinist, Capela Amadeus will once again present their high quality music performance. This time they are focusing on Baroque era especially music from J.S. Bach and choosing two famous pieces of his creation, “Brandenburg Concerto” and “Double Concerto for violin”.
Jakarta Arts Council under its board is trying to bring more performing arts events in Jakarta. Capela Amedeus String Concert XXVI is one of their events where many more will come within this year.

From Nov. 1-10 2007, an important and the only truly international competition of classical music in Indonesia — The Second ASEAN International Concerto Competition will take place. A biennial event, AICC was established in order to identify and encourage outstanding young musicians from the ASEAN region, and to assist in the development of their careers by providing them with suitable performing opportunities.
Two age categories: A; under 13 years old, and B; 13 to 18 years old will compete under a panel of distinguished jury from USA, Macedonia Japan, Korea, and chaired by its Artistic and Music Director Dr. Kuei Pin Yeo. All contestants are to compete in 3 stages: The Preliminary stage, consists of three pieces from 3 genres: Polyphonic, Etude and Classical Sonata, The Semi-Final Stage, a work of romantic era and the first movement of Concerto performed with a second piano, and the Final Stage a complete Concerto is performed with The National Symphony Orchestra of Indonesia, under the baton of its residence conductor Mr. Jap Tji Kien.
Usmar Ismail Hall is housing the Final Stage of the 2nd ASEAN International Concerto Competition.

Tianjin Symphony Orchestra; Dr. Angela Yeung, conductor; Ms. Gao Man Hua, soprano Founded in 1985, the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra is one of the most successful and solid orchestra in China today and it has collaborated with over 100 international distinguished guest conductors and soloists, as well as top Chinese musicians. For its outstanding contributions to the Chinese symphony community, The Tianjin Symphony Orchestra was awarded with ”National Advanced Institution of Cultural Workers” and “Advanced Group in Tian Jin Cultural Institutions” by The Ministry of Culture of China.
Dr. Angela Yeung is the Director of the Music Program at the University of San Diego in California and also the Director of the University of San Diego Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Ensembles. Through her achievements with the University of San Diego Symphony Orchestra, in 2006 she was elected President of the Western Division of the National College Orchestra Directors Association in the United States. An accomplished cellist with special interests in early music and chamber music, Dr. Angela Yeung maintains an active career in performing and directing outside her university duties each year.
Ms. Gao Man Hua, a native of Tianjin, China, is equally at home on opera stages and in concert halls. The winner of Beijing National Voice Competition, the Bernard Poetz Memorial Award and the Schwabacher Family Award, she has sung more than 20 leading roles with many major opera houses, including the San Francisco Opera Company, the Houston Grand Opera and the Hawaii Opera Theater. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 1986 and Lincoln Center debut in 2003. She has also been featured as a guest artist in many international arts and music festivals such as Tanglewood Festival and Stern Grove Festival.
This is their first ever collaboration not to be missed by true opera enthusiasts.

A magical evening of music that has a story to tell! LKCCO will once again perform under the baton of Australian conductor and composer Dr. Robert Keane. Camille Saint-Saens’s Carnival of the Animals, the Wedding March from Lohengrin and great music from opera stories will be showcased in this concert.
Lippo Karawaci Community Choir and Orchestra (LKCCO) is a community organization supported by Lippo Karawaci tbk. made up of students, amateurs and professional musicians. The educational mission of the organization is to enhance the quality of life in the community through performances of a wide range of music, provide a meeting place for musicians to strive toward excellence and allow students to know and grow as musicians. LKCCO was founded in 2006 by a group of musician-educators from Yayasan Pelita Harapan. Since its Inaugural Concert in April 2006, LKCCO has presented eight concerts that highlight its education driven mission, versatility and artistic excellence.

The Resonanz Children Choir adalah Paduan Suara Anak yang baru saja dibentuk pada bulan Februari tahun 2008 dan merupakan bagian dari JCO Management yang juga mewadahi Jakarta Chamber Orchestra (JCO), Batavia Madrigal Singers (BMS) dan The Resonanz Music Studio dibawah pimpinan Avip Priatna.
Tujuan dibentuknya The Resonanz Children Choir ini selain untuk mengasah musikalitas para anggotanya, juga diharapkan dapat memotivasi anak agar gemar bernyanyi, melatih keberanian, ketelitian, kesabaran, konsentrasi, daya ingat, etika berteman dan bergaul, mengembangkan rasa percaya diri, hubungan sosial dengan dengan teman sebaya (sosialisasi) dan juga kreativitas si anak.
The Resonanz Children Choir dibagi dalam tiga kelompok, yakni kelompok Serunai (usia 4-6 Tahun), Seruling (usia 7-10 Tahun) dan Tifa (usia 11-16 Tahun).
Ditengah kesibukan sebagai pelajar, The Resonanz Children Choir diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah yang mampu memberikan pengetahuan bernyanyi secara baik dan benar dengan menerapkan suasana latihan yang menyenangkan disertai metode yang kreatif. Diharapkan pada masa mendatang akan dapat membentuk pribadi dengan kemampuan inteligensia, emosi dan musikalitas yang matang.
Pada kesempatan konser siswa dan launching The Resonanz Children Choir sore hari ini akan ditampilkan repertoire yang beraneka ragam, namun tetap menitik-beratkan pada lagu anak-anak dan lagu-lagu rakyat Indonesia, karena salah satu visi dan misi dari The Resonanz Children Choir adalah turut melestarikan lagu anak-anak dan lagu-lagu rakyat Indonesia yang sudah semakin jarang dinyanyikan. Selain menggelar konser perdana pada sore ini, The Resonanz Children Choir juga akan menggelar beberapa konser baik konser tunggal maupun konser bersama Batavia Madrigal Singers dan Jakarta Chamber Orchestra.
Akhir kata kami berharap semoga konser perdana The Resonanz Children Choir dapat memberikan kesan yang mendalam dihati para pecinta Paduan Suara semua, khususnya Paduan Suara Anak.

Indonesia Opera Society is back for its 2008 series. Follow to the success of The Telephone Opera and Mozart’s beloved Bastien und Bastienne at Usmar Ismail Hall last 2007, Indonesia Opera Society is return for more productions to perform on this year.
We are working hand in hand with Istituto Italiano di Cultura to commemorate their National Day by presenting Pergolesi’s opera “La Serva Padrona” at Usmar Ismail Hall on May 29, 2008. For this special event, we invite Italian best baritone, Massimo Di Stefano to come and sing for this opera in the role of Uberto. Together with Indonesian beloved soprano – Linda Sitinjak as Serpina; we hope this short comic opera can give you experience on Italian opera.
